15. Spanish grammar: Irreguar verbs I

In Spanish there are many irregular verbs, but most of them are not used or are unknown from Spanish people. For foreigners, verbs are a particularly difficult, both because of irregularities in verbs itself and for the use of them.

14. Spanish grammar: What is Spanish ortography?

Orthography means "the correct way of writing a language." In this topic, we cover the alphabet and the sounds made by the letters.

The Spanish Alphabet in many respects corresponds with the English, the names and arrangement of letters being much the same, though the sounds are often quite different.

It consists of twenty-eight letters, of which a, e, i, o, u are vowels, and the rest are consonants; y, however, is generally considered a vowel when it follows another vowel, or stands by itself; and a consonant when preceding a vowel.

Spanish and English are similar enough in their punctuation that a beginner might look at something in Spanish and not notice anything unusual except for a few upside-down question marks or exclamation points. However, there are a few differences, some of them subtle, in the way the two languages are punctuated.

Se is undoubtedly the most versatile of the Spanish pronouns. As you learn Spanish, you will come across se used in a variety of ways. Simple present in Spanish indicates that the action expressed by the verb is given in the same time it is spoken. It is one of the most used verb tenses. That's why it can be used in many different contexts. It is not used only to describe present situations but also to talk about future and past actions, in the following way:

6.Spanish grammar: Use of the adjective with the verbs Ser and Estar

Use of the adjective with the verbs: Ser and Estar

We’ll dedicate this section to look at some adjectives with the verbs ser and estar (to be), which often cause confusion in Spanish.
Take a look at the examples and you’ll see that the verb ser doesn’t work with the same adjectives as the verb estar. Switching these verbs can sometimes alter the meaning.
